Description

A Lovely, Detailed Spider-Man Illustration.
Max Fiumara - Spider-Man Illustration Original Art (2020). Artist Max Fiumara, best known for his work on Hellboy, illustrates a portrait of everyone's favorite wall-crawler. Inkwash over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 8" x 12.25". Signed by Fiumara in the lower right area. Some rippling; otherwise, in Excellent condition.

Beautiful portrait here, Bill! I love the "hunched over" pose and lighting of the piece (especially the reflection on the outer edges of the eye patches). Only using that light source coming from the bottom right, the rest of the setting fleshes out in the viewer's mind's eye; Spidey is obviously crouched on a legde somewhere watching over his city. Spidey's costume lends itself to so many different interpretations by so many different artists, and it's always a source of delight. A very striking and wonderful piece! Congrats!

i saw this in Heritage and knew I had to have it. It is at the Framers now.
