Wonderfully poignant Saviuk page with a throwback feel aided by the inks of Kurt Schaffenberger. This was a great emotional story that would thematically lead to the next issue where Superman enters his last story before Crisis would reboot the line.

You're right! Kurt's inking does give it the nuance of a throwback feel.

It did strike me as a page from 50 years ago.
