Okay, not being the massive Star Wars hound that you and Kavi are, I wouldn't be honest if I said I understood what the hell was going on here. All I see is Darth Maul's upper body attached to the back part of a spider's body, but a mechanical one. But in spite of the confusion, it looks pretty darn cool!
After getting cut in half in The Phantom Menace, Darth Maul has been brought back in a few incarnations in the various comics and animated series (both in canon and legends). Each time he has had some form of cybernetic replacement of his lower half. This cyber-Maul with spidery droid legs is one of them.
I think the next big comic event should be the return of his equally angry Sith legs and waist with a cybernetic upper body! Then they can join forces to finally seek revenge on ol' Obi-Wan. Hahahaha!
Hah ha ha! Thanks for filling me in on what happened to him since The Phantom Menace, Jeff. In just two sentences, I'm all caught up!
Darth Maul then was fitted with the Strips #2 inside cover prosthetic saber (no vein version). He went on to star in Attack of the Boners where he once more confronted Obi One can blow me where they found out he is Maul's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate. When their sabers crossed again, #Artoo Meetoo complained about all that "carbon scoring" to the force ghost of Qui-Dong Jinn and a yet to be born Luke Thighwanker and his kissing sister Layher Orgasma. This is all Extended Universe stuff that Disney now calls Legends and not recognized outside of the AVN awards.
It's the gift that keeps on giving! 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣
Hence forth 3/15 will forever be Strips #2 Day!
That's some shit straight out of Hell Raiser!
REALLY digging the sheer insanity of this piece, Jeff!
Man Tricky killed this, glad you liked the piece/concept! Need to get one of my own soon!!! ;-)
