Description

Mike Zeck and Keith Williams' The Sensational She-Hulk #27 cover (Marvel, 1991). It features a 'Shulkie' wearing an attractive short skirt in keeping with the 'Good Girl' theme of the series, being turned into a stone statue by the Silver Age villain known as the Grey Gargoyle. Behind them looms another Silver Age favorite, the large artificial creature known as Dragon Man. In keeping with the light-hearted tone of She-Hulk's adventures, the Gargoyle makes a really goofy pun, "Told you not to take me for Granite". (The gag is easier to see in color.) Created in ink over graphite on bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The cover is slightly toned, the logo, box art, and word balloon are all stat paste-ups which are adhered to an acetate overlay, and there are two staples in the lower right margin. In very good condition. Signed by Zeck in the lower right corner.
