Awesome stuff as the YA novels of the 70's were definitely dominated by mysteries starring Hardys or Nancy Drew. Dominguez uses that same era's notion of intrigue and microfilm cold war espionage to this drawing.
It looks like a rough idea for the puzzle on the left in this picture. Same miniature camera. Just no Nancy.
Oh yeah, and the shadow of the gun toting guy as well. I'd say it's case closed...
