DescriptionA very striking page by this Argentinian artist (Rosario, 1940 - Rome, 1999), whose style was loosely inspired by the great Alberto Breccia's and whose works are still little known and widely underestimated. The embodiment of the death is truly unique here and I love the way the black ink strokes connect the panels together! La Maga (The Sorceress) is a mini series of 6 episodes published in Argentine and then in Italy between the late '70s and the early '80s. (pen and ink on artboard, 13"x 19") Click HERE to see all Trigo's art in my Gallery Social/Sharing |

Very strong mix of brush and line with frenetic energy on the page. The tangents of black brushwork is glue holding the page together!

Beautiful page! Love the textures and how he spotted his blacks. Very interesting repeated shapes from panel to panel, which is great for both the storytelling and the beauty of the page

Stunning page! Love the use of blacks here, it both sets the mood and pulls the whole page together!

Probabilmente Lanciostory n.7 del 1981 "Io sono la Morte". Bella pagina.

It's easy to see the artist knows how to draw and knows how to tell a story. His instincts and experience allow him to easily move between his pens and brushes. He's a real talent.
