Description
Back in July 2019, I was lucky enough to buy the Hubert Rogers cover art for Astounding, May 1940 at an estate sale in Salt Lake City, Utah. It illustrates "Space Guards" by Buck Rogers author Phil Nowlan. It needed some restoration, which has finally been completed. I picked it up from The Conservation Center earlier today; here's a quick shot of it.

The colors are as vibrant as new!  The golden age flourish of  imagination is on full display!  The curves and fins look like they took inspiration from nature for this rocket ship.
