Description
I had bought two Terry Beatty MS. TREE convention sketches from Mitch Itkowitz and so a couple of days later he asked if I would be interested in purchasing this splash page. Guess what I did? A really nice MS. TREE splash by Terry Beatty with what was called "primary penciling" by Gary Kato!

From the image, to the text, to the characterization ("I never climb into my car without glancing in the backseat first") this is just spot-on! Very jealous! Congratulations and thanks for sharing it.

Nice modern age throwback!  That typewriter print blown up on the top, the gun, the first person narration, and the use of screen tone brings hard boiled crime noir elements to this opening splash.

You got to look closely to understand the title. Congrats.

Excellent page all around but I especially love Ms. Tree's facial expression.

Isn't it great?  Very pensive and unusual in the comics world.

Outstanding stance and expression on Ms. Tree!  The voice-over is wonderful as well --- I want to read on!
