DescriptionIt‘s hard to pick „The“ page from the masterpieces John Buscema and Ernie Chan masterfully created in there high time between 1977 to 1982. There are to many.With Gil Kane the matter looks different. In my eyes, his best Conan work can be found, in the „The Hour of the Dragon“ multi-part Giant Size Conan 1-4 issues with magnificent inking by Tom Sutton. I‘m proud to own now one of these pages, it‘s one of my favorite Conan stories. Thx to Yves for this trade. Social/Sharing |

This has the great Kane compostion that wrings emotions out of every facial expression and line. The Sutton inks really flesh out and adorn the panels with an extravagant high detail look.

Sutton really added something gritty to Kane's masterful pencils. Very cool page.

I love the perspective looking down hallway the girl is standing in. It's depth gives the setting a lot of realism.
