David Michael Beck's Jonah Hex and El Diablo. I love picking up Jonah Hex when I can and when I can afford it. Beck's art is unique in his technique and this issue had other DC Western heroes as guest stars. El Diablo was certainly a very different

This is the Lazarus Lane version whose name telegraphs a lot of his convoluted history.

DC has such a rich pantheon of heroes to draw from it is a shame to see that outside of the movies DC is basically reduced to Batman as their only character in actual comic books that sell. I wish DC will go the graphic novel route and release a series of books as a complete story giving artist and writers the ability to tell great one and done stories. At $5 to $7 a pop for comics and endless stories no wonder I have abandoned floppy comic books.

Ok long tangent - but another great Hex page and bonus great shot of El Diablo.

Amazing climax to the confrontation with Beck throwing in some inspired layouts throwing everything at an angle to emphasize the reach of the bullets and whip!
