Each panel is beautiful, and the overall flow of the story is fantastic. Congrats!
Oh yeah this is pure black suit Spidey goodness, and from an incredible anniversary issue to boot!
A lot of collectors are shifting towards more contemporary art now, as it's quickly starting to offer a lot more bang for their buck than the vintage stuff offers these days. Immonen does a bangup job as usual, but let's also give von Grawbadger credit fior the great and very comlimentary inking job!
Immonen and Von Grawbadger definitely has a blast on this issue! Very cool to have any page in this milestone issue with rare a black suit Spider-Man appearance.
A dynamic page from a special issue.
Gorgeous page, Simon! Incredible inking by von Grawbadger - I almost have to shield my eyes from the flash of the explosion in panel two! - and I'm absolutely enthralled with the lamppost Spidey is perched on in panel three; I love the texture and feel of the physical object there (isn't it crazy what captures and holds our eye?). Fantastic storytelling flow to this special page (which is par for the course, of course, for this artistic team). Congrats on the great pick up, Simon! A true beauty for sure!
This is incredible
Immonen/Grawbadger is another pairing for the ages. They clearly "get" each other, and I so dig how they draw black suit Spidey. And the way they overlay him over those last panels takes the whole page to another level. Super sweet. Congrats!
Amazing piece of art! Love it!
Phenomenal page by Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger. That explosion scene is hot enough to burn your fingers just holding the comic. But the two bottom scenes of Spidey are the real stars of this page. Terrific work.
Glad this one found a good home! And I totally agree with your logic on the newer Black Suit art, that's what first drew me to this page as well. While I later sold it to make room/funds for something else, I still do love that explosion!
