One of my favorite covers from the Bronze Age DC titles. Michael Kaluta at his best. I was lucky to buy this many years ago at what was then (for me) the astronomical price of $1,000. Philip Anderson was nice enough to do time payments and I was excited to get it.

The perspective of the piece ... being pulled towards the middle of the cover, with the jumble of tombstones in the front and the houses leaning crazily.

At the same time, I can't help but smile because I just hear John Cleese saying "Bring out your dead!" "I'm not dead yet!"

Has always been a mainstay of my Lowry!

Amazing cover! Love how everything is leaning so far one way or the other. Great composition and I dig that crazy architecture in the background
