Description

The premise of the scene is that it's 1975, five years after the show ended in 1970, and successful singer Billie Jo (the Meredith Macrae version) returns home from the big city to visit her great-Uncle Joe and the rest of the family at their rural Shady Rest Hotel. (The show's talented dog, real name Higgins, followed up his six year gig on Petticoat Junction with big screen stardom as Benji in the first Benji movie, after which he retired, and expired at a ripe old age.)
