Brilliant! I wish I'd thought of this idea, and I hope my seething jealousy is all you could ask for in a response from a fellow collector. Did I say "brilliant" yet? Because it is.

A really fantastic piece. This should be the cover of any Colan sketchbook released in the future.

I was shocked when I saw this piece, but for a different reason. After watching a Rockwell documentary a few months back I had a similar idea for a commission based on that painting, also with Gene in mind. I guess brilliant minds think alike! Congrats!

Very cool & original, love the Norman Rockwell bit. I was lucky enough to meet Gene once & sit at his table with him for like 3 hours. Back in 1999 at the Thunderbird hotel in Minn, Minn. Great guy & funny!

Priceless, miss Gene alot, not only his beautiful moody artwork, but the man himself. He was a great guy & just a normal funny doown to earth guy. A class act & a true gentleman.
