Magik vs Belasco

X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills is one of Mr Anderson’s most prolific works. But he had another significant contribution to the X-Men saga, Magik (Uncanny X-Men #160). Sadly he was not afforded the opportunity to draw the Magik 4 issue limited series.
In discussing a commission I asked for how he would have ended it. The result was a final confrontation between Illyana and Belasco who has been fully corrupted by his evil. Mr Anderson was admittedly happy with the opportunity to draw them again even as a fan request.
The pic doesn’t do the art any justice. I’m tempted to showing Chris Claremont this at a convention appearance. Perhaps it may provoke another collaboration with him outside of Marvel.
