DescriptionDark Horse's version of Conan was younger, lither, and more handsome than the Marvel version. I have three pairs of pages from this issue; together, they summarize the basic story. Here (the first of the three), Conan and his companion Octavia are wandering through the woods when they find some interesting marks on the ground and chase down a noise. Conan switches his sword from left to right hand between the pages, and uses the right hand for the rest of the issue. Verma gives us beautiful background foliage, as well as an awesome belt buckle on the hero. The artist died of COVID in 2021. Social/Sharing |

Dark Horses Conan did always look more suave than Marcell's. Congrats on these beautiful pages.
