DescriptionDay 36. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continues... now onward to 45 days in honor of the 45th anniversary of the original film’s release!Ania finds herself aboard a transport commanding a squad of Trandoshan stormtroopers. That pretty much covers it. Lizard guys in armor on a spaceship will get my attention most days, so there you go. This is my last Brian Thies page to upload. For now. I'm sure I'll be tempted by more. A big shout out to Mark Hay at Splashpageart.com who is repping Brian on all these great Legacy pages. If you go grab one tell him I sent you, but don’t pick the ones I still have an eye on! Ha! Social/Sharing |

Oh man, the Thies magic is all over? What'll I do without fix? Jeff, get yourself back over to Splash Page Art and get to buying some more, now!

So I have been prepping these a few days in advance, particularly while I was on the work trip in May. I think I did this one Thursday night. I emailed Mark Friday. So as the magic 8 ball says, chances seem good.

So you heard that I'm a rebel with the art that is shown.
I got a Brian Thies artwork that no Trandoshan owns.
If a picture tells Legacy, won't you listen to mine,
I'm searching for the Star Wars but it's so hard to find.
You'll see much deeper when you read between Thies' lines,
'Cause there's a fire burning 'tween my thighs.
Like Ania in the night, who can't get enough,
I am willing to fight,
'Cause she's a Solo you love.
I shot first in the dark when the going gets rough,
It's the state of my art
When she's a Solo I love

Leia's a little bit country, Han's a little bit rock-n-roll. Donny? He's 100% dead sexy. Saw it in an informal People poll once.

Very cool! Do you have an image of the published piece? I'm curious about the white-out effect he used in the 4th panel and how it translated.

I have added the published page as an additional image, per request!

So Mikail, what's your reaction to the piece of shit, talentless colorist who summarily ignored the white out special effect applied by Thies, simply because he either didn't understand the intent of it or just didn't have the skill to know what to do with it?

Quite a bit of disappointment, tbh.

Yeah, that would be an understatement for me! Very few things in the creative process of making comic books boils my blood more than colorists who are either too lazy to handle the artist's work as they should, are simply not skilled enough to do so, or both.
