If I should stay
I would go Dark Phoenix your way
So I'll go, but I'll clone
I'll think of you each Steve Lightle art day

And I will Larry Tun you
I will Larry Tun you,
You, my Larry you

Marvel Girl memories
That is all the cover with Jean
So good buy, please don't cry
We both know I'm not the art you need

And I will Larry Tun you
I will Larry Tun you

Incredible image of the beloved/hated X-Men leader.  If Lightle had ever done a run on the X-Men book, I could see him easily making my top five X-Men artists list.

Awesome cover--love all the zipatone, that old school craftsmanship is so cool.  And of course, a boatload of characters--Spidey in the background is especially good!

Great pure illustration, and I dig the dynamic charging shot of Cyke.  And yes, I'm a Cyke fan :)  Must look great in person, man - congrats!

Since a few people brought it up, I should clarify there is no zipatone.  the art is drawn on textured canson paper.  I guess dark india ink on Scott and markers on the background.  Thanks, Dan

Killer work! Love how they did the colors on the final cover as well.

Sigh!  I used to own the cover to #35 (Cyclops battling Wolverine), but foolishly sold it.  Been a Lightle fan from the jump.  Another one of those artists who got me to actually pick up a DC book (Legion).  Was so glad when he started doing Marvel work.  That issue of X-Factor he did (#32) is one of my all time favorite comics.  Great cover from a great run.

A fabulous cover from a fabulous cover run by one of the most fabulous cover artists of the 80's and 90's. His use of the duo-shade is excellent and what the colorist did with the background was an absolute travesty.
