Black Cat by Frank Cho

Highest on my list for Lake Como Comic Art Festival 2022 was Frank Cho. I had been talking to Steve for a while now to set something up & my best bet was to get at Frank's table early on during the show. That worked out, as I was the very first in line at his table.

Unfortunately, Frank was a couple hours late at the show, but a list was being set up in the meanwhile. I was #1 & thought I was set. A bit later, though, it became clear that Frank was only doing head sketches on covers he had brought - to service as many fans as possible. A bit of a setback as I didn't want either a head sketch nor something on a sketch cover. But that happens!

Nevertheless, this sketch cover (a medium basically OWNED by Frank Cho) is of course a very nice, typical Cho and a sensual Black Cat. The red lipstick is also a great touch! It's a great piece that I'm proud of and very happy to add the inimitable Frank Cho to my Black Cat collection.

PS. A great moment of meeting Frank throughout the weekend was a chat I had with him & Rich Johnston from Bleeding Cool, who shared some great stories at Frank's table.
