A truly magical page when Good Doctor Strange (Yes! That's him under the guise of Cagliostro!) prepares to confront old nemesis Baron Mordo, while sending a love letter to Clea reading the same book two centuries later...

This extraordinary arc was the real opportunity for Frank Brunner to display his formidable art skills! Sensible help by Neal Adams and others from the Custy Bunkers gang makes it all gel together.

Look at the fantastic interaction between darkness, light and smoke... It's not done with mirrors!

You can tell the Bunkers went all out in this with the effects normally used for black and white magazines. This is a cut above!

Thanks! I guess they took a significant amount of time on the inks, refining layer after layer. Those were the days for experimentation...
