Description
Day 45. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continued to 45 days in honor of the 45th anniversary of the original film’s release!

The third and last page for our finale, one last Brian Thies page from Legacy (Vol. 2). In this final issue of the series, Ania Solo and her friends find themselves fighting alongside the Imperial Knights and the Empress herself against a legion of Sith! While the others fight for control of the galaxy, Ania fights to save her friend-Imperial Knight Jao Assam, who has been enslaved by the dark side. Ok, I'll spoil it, our heroes win! And here, after the final battle, Ania holds court with the Empress (who by the way is recovering from a laser sword through the gut by one of the Sith baddies; one tough Empress).

Big thanks to Mark Hay at Splash Page for facilitating all of the pages inked by Brian that I have posted since May 1.

Thanks for tuning in everyone, it has been fun!

You read Star Wars Legacies and made each art come true
Something no one else, had ever post the way you do
I've kept the memories start from one, for every postin'
I know I'll never write this way again

I know it'll never seem the same again
So I keep holdin' on, before the Force is gone
I know you'll never post this art again
Hold on, hold on, hold on

A fool will lose tomorrow looking back to yesterday
I won't turn my head like Solo if posts should go away
I'll stand here and remember just how good Thies' been
And I know it'll never be the same again

I know it'll never seem the same again
So I keep holdin' on, before the Dark Horse gone
I know that you would sell this to a friend
But hold on, hold on, hold on

The reendering and facial expressions throughout are excellent! Great page.

Yeah. After finding Brian's work on Legacy after my collecting hiatus, I started looking at some of his later efforts. The inking he did over Butch Guice on Winter Soldier is equally stellar.

The hero's win? Whew. What a relief. And here I thought something bad was going to happen. Like Han, Leia or Luke dieing. I know ridiculous right? Killing off your cash cows. Preposterous.

I LOVE that you ended with one of the more realistic styled artists, and one of my favourites It has been a pleasure to see these works from your collection and especially to see your joy in owning them and your dedication to sharing them. Actually feels like it's been 45 months rather than just 45 days, but that's to be expected when the art coming fast and hard at you is all from the same theme. It's been a lot of fun though and have had a lot of fun being taken along for the ride with you. Happy to call you my friend!
