Description

Just learned of the passing of Tim Sale. This was a simple sketch I got at a signing held at Meltdown Comics. I remember asking Tim for Daredevil Unmasked and, he smiled, chuckled and went, you mean like a normal guy?" I laughed and told him I collect heroes unmasked. He then created this lovely piece. A devastating loss of such an incredible talent. He drew so many incredible renditions of my favorite character. Superman For All Seasons is one of my all time favorite comics. Thank you to Mr. Sale for his incredible work.

He really boiled down the Matt Murdock characteristics on this sketch. Sale made it to a lot of conventions through the years and it's good that he was busy and beloved by fans wherever he went.

It's amazing what Tim Sale could accomplish with just a few lines. He was the master of minimalism. And he struck to that approach for most of his career. We'll all miss him.
