Ink and blue pencil on 11 x 14" bristol board
This is my third piece from June Brigman. I don't typically purchase multiple pieces from artists I don't know personally. However, I've had a crush on both June Brigman and her art since I was a husky 10 year old boy. If there's an opportunity to talk to her and buy art from her, I'm going to take it.
So imagine my horror when I left Stuart Immonen's table having just unexpectedly and impulsively purchased two double page spreads, and went to Ms. Brigman's table to pick up my piece and finding myself NINE DOLLARS SHORT. Believe me when I tell you I wished Thanos had snapped me out of existence right then and there. Ms. Brigman told me not to worry about it and enjoy the piece. That made it 100 times worse. The horror. The horror. I told her I'd be back soon with the rest of the money. She told me to donate it to Heroes Initiative. I'd already withdrawn the max from the ATM that day, so I had to wait until Sunday morning to get more cash. I went back to her table, but she hadn't arrived yet. I had to leave, so I left $20 in Rick Leonardi's Heroes Initiatve collection box. I'm writing all this more for myself than for anyone else, but if you're reading it I hope you identify with my shame!
