Cover features the Black Dahlias [Wendy, Lisa, Marie, Carrie and Rae-Ann]
The Black Dahlias is an all girl gang in Los Angeles, which was formed with the purpose of protecting women and girls from the exploitation of the streets.
They became hired assassins and were hired to take out the Order. They succeeded in killing one member (Corona) and depowering another (Mulholland).
Mulholland was a former member of the Black Dahlias before joining the Order.
The Black Dahlias took their name from an infamous Los Angeles murder case of in the late 1940s, the Black Dahlia case, which has over time been turned into a sort of morality tale about the dangers that Los Angeles supposedly poses to naïve young women.
It has been speculated that the Black Dahlias may appear in the next Spider-Man movie since Peter Parker had given Mary Jane a Black Dahlia necklace and in the final scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, MJ is seen still wearing the necklace.
