Description

To celebrate John Byrne's 72nd trip around the sun, here's one of the John Byrne pieces I have in my collection. I have thoroughly enjoyed Elsewhen, and if you're not aware, Byrne has created a alternate X-Men future on his website, uploading and serializing as fan fiction. It's accomplished, and some of the best X-Men work Byrne has ever done. reproduced from pencils and lettered digitally, here is the page I procured in it's original format. If you don't want to dig around a message board to read it, it's also available collected by various groups on Facebook. Looking at this page compared to Byrne's original x-men run it's more energetic, layout is more interesting and it's 100% Byrne. May not have the cultural significance, but is as good as anything Byrne has ever done. Byrne is a great comic book creator (apparently doing more than a page of this a day) and one of the best the medium has ever known. I think this page with Wolverine, a character who's popularity is owed to Byrne's love of the character, proves the point.

I am currently processing that this page contains not only Wolverine, but a T-Rex. I did not know this existed! Really cool!
