Superboy Cover #150 / Neal Adams

Powerful cover image with an in-your-face, "crushing" 3 dimensional quality of intensity, in the spirit of a Jack Kirby manner of presentation, not to mention a 12 Cent Cover from 1968, in my view, the peak production era of Neal's work as DC's go-to Cover Artist. Neal's superior skills and talents uniquely his own, respectful remembrance, acknowledgement, and appreciation for both the person and the artist. This piece a treasure and grateful for the opportunity to acquire and share.

Like many others who grew up in this period, I would purchase a comic solely due to the captivating cover images created by Neal Adams, at times then disappointed to see that Neal was often not the actual interior story artist. Regardless of whoever did the interior art, a book with an Adams cover, beautiful, mesmerizing, and for me back then, a must have! And how to draw someone in a rain drenched hat? That's how, amazingly graphic and detailed in its simplicity!
