Description

Four animated short cartoons based on DeBeck's Barney Google were made by Columbia Pictures in the mid-1930s. This cel and background set-up is from Sparkplug from 1936. I only recall seeing two such set-ups offered for sale over the past 45 years. I have owned this seet-up for decades, but I incorrectly assumed it was from "Tetched in the Head," from October 1935. In checking the only surviving print of the cartoon Spark Plug [in B&W, no color copy survives], looking for my new set-up, I spotted this set-up in the film as well.
