Description

This is the original for the Rome strip, but, unfortunately, it is missing the bottom two rows of panels. Almost all the Bringing Up Father Sunday pages were done of two sheets of illustration board/paper. The topper plus one or two rows of BUF on one sheet, and the remainder of the BUF on the bottom piece. This was typical of strip art originals from the 20s and 30s, and this practice of splitting up the art has resulted in too many partial originals today. But, of course, those artists never expected anyone in the public to see the originals and would probably be shocked to know that collectors will actually still pay money for their art.
