LIVE TURTLE

Beautiful hand painted live turtles with any one of the Walt Disney characters on them (probably decals) were sold by H. Fishlove Co. of Chicago from about 1938-1941. Pictured is all sides of the flattened box in which they were sent post paid for 25 cents each via mail order. The box pictures all seven dwarfs, Snow White, Donald and Mickey. Box says no food or water required. Keep away from heat or cold. PERISHABLE. Another side of the box gives the following directions: Keep the turtle in water, but be sure to have a place for the turtle to climb out and dry self. (Place Rock in container). Turtle will eat only when at room temperature. Feed every two days with Special Fishlove Wonder Turtle Food (10 cents a package --- ask your dealer or write direct). --- If you have an 81 year plus shell please send
