Description
Wonderful cover by Malcolm Smith for Imagination Magazine (September, 1953) illustrating the story "No Sons Left to Die". I love the SF trope of the "personal spaceship" rendered to great effect here. I also dig the "power ring" that encircles the ship with no visible means of support, suggesting advanced super science tech with this simple design choice. Great example of early 50's sci fi.

Amazing rocket age science fiction taking what was popular science of the day to augment the imagination used in this painting.

I was on vacation or I would have drooled over this a lot sooner!  Love it!
