Description
Updated story for further details:

I bought this from Larry Elmore at IX 2021. It's cover art for a computer game "Dusk of the Gods".

This was originally owned by the model who posed as Thor in the painting. His health has worsened, and he was forced to sell this piece. He gave it to Larry Elmore to sell at IX 2021, since Larry was already displaying his AD&D paintings. Perfect opportunity and it paid off for everyone. I'm glad that I could purchase an excellent piece of art and be of assistance to the former owner.

Amazing lightning bolt from a far distance away instead of directly above.  It works perfectly with the use of perspective seen on the figures.

Wonderful! Very impressive and surprising that Larry still had this in 2021!
