Have always been drawn to Erik Larsen's work. This is probably the 1st splash page I bought back in the 90's. If my brain is recalling correctly it was procured at a Chicago con. Back then, even at those prices, it was a feat to float the trip to the convention and no way I could have afforded anything with the actual stars of the book on a single illustration page!
The shadow in the upper left is bad photography and not discoloration on paper.
