DescriptionSo, I picked this one up from Spencer at a show, and it is marked "trading card". However, I can't find a trading card that matches it. However, it looks to me exactly like the card art used on the Super Powers Steppenwolf action figure. If anyone could confirm one way or another, I'd love to know!Social/Sharing |

It sure looks like it, but there are a few minor differences between this and the super powers card art - very slight lines and shadows that don't quite match up if you scrutinize the two. It could have been changes in the production process, just don't really know. I'd be super curious what you've got here... it's way cool regardless, and absolutely connected to the super powers figure card art somehow!

Hi Nathan! Thanks for the input. I agree with you, it's very similar to the toy art, but is not quite 100% what ended up on the finished product. I suppose it's possible that his original was altered by Kenner before the packaging was printed, but I'm not sure why that would be the case. That being said, I can't find any trading card that matches this art at all. So, it's very odd. I'm hoping to find the truth! At the time I purchased it, Spencer wasn't talking to people (I think he was ill, or at least not feeling well) and Keith was similarly not really talking, so I wasn't able to get any information from them. Hopefully the truth is out there! Regardless, I'm happy to have it, as you don't see Keith drawing in this style much anymore.
