DescriptionPublished 1984The Persuader Features Lady Memory, Persuader, Mon-El, Shadow Lass and Grev Mallor. Cover for the story Shadows of Future Past written by Paul Levitz. Lady Memory and the Persuader try to take over Talok VIII, home world of Shadow Lass (Tasmia Mallor), and hold her cousin Grev captive. Terry Shoemaker got his start at DC in the New Talent Showcase and was then given the new Tales of the Legion of Superheroes title, penciling six issues before he moved over to Marvel. Karl Kesel was also got his start in New Talent Showcase and Tales of the Legion was also his first regular assignment. Social/Sharing |

This is fun to see because I clearly remember Shoemaker making his debut at Marvel, but had assumed that was how he broke in. Never realized he first broke in with DC on Legion. I also love seeing mid 80's Karl Kesel inks, as he was so good even early on and went on to be a really great inker.
