DescriptionHas there ever been a goofier Batman villain than KGBeast? Here he is threatening to blow up Gotham with a nuclear bomb the size of baseball in one hand and his cumbersome, cybernetic gun taking the place of his other hand.I am happy to have a piece by Nolan who I consider one of the definitive Batman villain artists. Inked here by the reliable and prolific Hanna. If I can't get one of Bane by Nolan, KGBeast will do. The Beast is a relic of a time in the 80s when Russia was considered our enemy and the world was on the brink of nuclear war. Boy, am I glad we have gotten past all that ... well, maybe the Beast is more relevant than I thought. Social/Sharing |

I like how Nolan has the bomb in it's own frame to emphasize power like an old school soviet propaganda poster with a fist in the air.

Beautiful splash by Graham Nolan and Scott Hanna! Strong image of the KGBeast holding up the baseball-sized Nuke! Great pick-up!
