DescriptionPublished 2004The last issue in the series published by CrossGen. Cover depicts Simon and Emma attempting to destroy the prism. The way this is drawn, it makes it appear that Simon is about to attack Emma instead of preparing to destroy the prism. It was a teaser in the previous issue and it was an entirely plausible scenario given that the prism was capable of warping people’s minds. Thankfully this did not occur in the actual story.😅 Sadly, this was the last issue of the series but the plot lines were wrapped up, which was just as well as CrossGen ceased operations less than a year later. La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
I just can't get Ruse out of my head
Boy, your Jackson is all Guice think about
I just can't hammer up on my head
Boy, it’s art than I dare to think about
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
I just can't get Ruse out of my head
Boy, your Perkins all I ink about
I just can't hammer prism or head?
Boy, it’s more than I dare to ink about
Every line
Every page
Just to be there in your arms
Won't Ruse stay
Won't Mark Waid
Stay forever and cover, and cover, and cover
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
I just can't get Ruse out of Crossgen
Boy, your cover is all I think about
I just can't prism outta my head
Boy, it’s ending I dare to think about
There's a dark Simon in me
Don't leave me left in your art
Set me free
Feel the need in me
Set me free
Stay for Emma forever, and ever, and ever

Ah, I see John Stuart's parting with his Ruse collection has become a boon for your own collection! The "double meaning" design of this cover makes it it PERFECT for a Detective/Mystery series, doesn't it? Guice and Perkins executed it beautifully!

This was a great issue, and it was a tough decision to part with the cover! I still have 18/21 of the interior pages from this issue.
