Description
Harvey Bullock by Ron Salas

My introduction to Harvey Bullock came via Batman: The Animated Series, and I loved him. Sloppy, rude, tough, and loyal to Jim Gordon, Bullock was full of good and bad qualities, which made him seem more human than most fictional characters. As I started to read more Batman comics, I got to experience many good stories featuring Bullock, especially when Greg Rucka and Ed Brubaker got to write him. I asked Ron Salas to draw Harvey for me and oh boy, did he deliver! Harvey's determined look, the folds in those clothes, that meaty left hand, it's all fantastic. Big thanks to Ron for always delivering awesome commissions!

Great piece! Some remarkable vision from the artist here, particularly the treatment of the background. Thanks for posting!

So good that it captures the man who is a product of the environment of the mean streets of Gotham!  Very 70's Times Square backdrop evoking scenes from Taxi Driver.

This is killer!  Some legit negative space goodness throughout.  Big congrats, Travis!
