I always try and work through your comments in my head first before clicking the embedded link. Sometimes there will be a chorus or a hook line that makes it easy to work out the tune. This time I was almost convinced I could mush it into One More Day from Les Mis, but alas finally knew it must be something else. Well played Marcus and Madonna, well played. 

This is very detailed for a prelim.  I would have thought it was the full pencils.  Beautiful work.

I got to speak with him for a brief time, but did not ask as many questions about his process in hindsight as I should have. We'll need to connect him and Bill for an interview. The display art in his portfolio from Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was absolutely fabulous as well.

He may have drawn them at prelim size, but these pencils are as tight as finished pencils can be. He even marked off the indications for the solid blacks for the inker. So whether he or someone else finished the art, these are definitely finished pencils unless he added even more pencil shading digitally.
