DescriptionAt a Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention a few years ago, we picked up this Leo Morey illustration. Although it's not science fiction, it appeared in the June 1934 issue of Amazing Stories, where it illustrated the Jules Verne serial, "Measuring a Meridian." This is very nice as it brings the audience to real life exotic scenes that had never been made popular in images before and only been described in words. It serves as a travelogue at a time when travelling was impossible for many, but the curiosity was there.
