Donatello, "The Case of the Killer Pizzas" Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) animation drawing

From the second season Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Fred Wolf Films) episode "The Case of the Killer Pizzas," here is the original line art drawing that served as the basis for an animation cel. In this scene, Donatello looks directly into the camera and speculates about certain doom.

This is an original pencil drawing that was used to guide animators in painting the cels that would be used for the actual episodes. Unlike many of the "Animation Art" line of cels, these drawings were never sold at retail outlets. As an example of a subtle cost-cutting strategy, the different colored outline around his mouth suggests that part was intended to be animated on a separate layer. In full context of the episode, it's not too egregious compared to contemporary shows, and Donatello's head has several frames of movement before reaching the stationary position where he articulates a few lines of dialogue.
