That is very cool. I love how he achieved that metallic look through the light ink wash and negative space? It looks great against all that graphite work, too. Really pops. And now I know a new artist. Stellar!

Incredibly all done in pencil (he has a light touch)

Excuse the second comment, but that is all pencil?! No wash? Wow! Yeah, definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Yeah, metallic surfaces are tough to pull off in a line drawing. That's why characters like Rom and Surfer as so tricky. Very nice pencil work here.

Great ROM piece, Rick! At what point did you find out this was the piece you lucked out to receive? (Did you know before opening the package?) That must have been a fun moment! As others have said, this is truly fantastic pencil work by Harvey; that metallic armor shading is SUPER striking. Congrats, Rick! This is awesome!

Thanks Jason! It was while watching Harvey work on the piece during the Friday night Comic Art LIVE kick off show hosted by Bill Cox (Jiggy made the announcement).
So many cool pieces created that evening!
