Wow, a hell of a commission!
Very beautiful commission, congratulations
The gorgeous ladies of X-Men (and other X-deriatives). Heluva piece.
Hee, hee, hee
X-Ladies always dancin'
And wouldn't be a bad thing
Bet I’m all Gala lovin'
And that's no lie
We spent the night at gown ball
A mutant kind of dance hall
From that night I kissed our love Hellfire
Don't pivot on the good lines
Don't pivot on the moonlight
Don't pivot make it all mine
Stephen Defendini
Jawdropping painting of the woman of the X-Men! Gorgeous work by Steven Defendini. I love how many women he included. I'm also impressed by how artfully they are arranged. And the colors that he chose are sublime! Great pick-up!
Beautifully done! I love all the pops of light throughout the piece.
WOW! Such a treat for the eyes featuring so many beautiful Ladies of X! A real beautiful piece giving each X-Woman her glory. Gorgeous!
Rachel hidden in the shadows alone deserves another comment!
YES!!! That's one! Did you spot the other?
Oh yes, I got all 16, Jubilee. :) But that Rachel is awesome. Love seeing both Psylocke and Captain Britain represented.
Yea. Number 16 made me work.
Are you really sure there is no Wasp in this? Not a X-Men but could be on scouting mission for new recruits. Or perhaps Ant-Man who is on "scouting mission" for totally different reasons.
This is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Stunning! Would make an awesome poster.
That's a nice pic/scan, but I'm sure doesn't do the piece justice as far as being in person! It's like...every color that exists is here, lol. Some fine lookin' X ladies, man. Congrats!
Oh, my stars and garters - that is, indeed, one incredible gala. An absolute cornucopia of texture, color, and lighting, where the whole thing explodes (in the best possible way) in an uncanny frenzy of flame and shadow and sunlight and forest and raw elemental fury. This is absolutely a piece for prolonged and intensive study (what's the size of this, please, Eranga?) and rewards such an exercise - the "hidden" characters being a great case in point (boy, did it take me a long time to find the last one! :) ). Really great pick up, E, worthy of the "pivot" you mention!
Thanks, Jason! This is 17" x 22" so everything has the necessary room to breathe. I figure it made adding the extra characters a little easier too :)
