DescriptionSixth in the series - just imagine that, in 1960, Martin Goodman decides that comics have no future and closes Marvel down, forcing Lee and Kirby to seek work at National. And what if, after a couple of years producing back-up science fiction, war and monster stories for DC's anthologies, editor Murray Boltinoff (unsatisfied with the initial submission from Arnold Drake and Bruno Premiani) asks Stan and Jack to see if they can do anything with the idea of the Doom Patrol?This time - when the Doom Patrol (and Beast Boy) return from an overseas mission, they find that Midway City is missing! Superman's arch-foe Brainiac, taking advantage of the Man Of Steel's absence off-world, has used his shrinking ray to steal the DP's home town, and preserve it as one of the thousands of bottle cities on his spaceship! Can the Patrol - together with special guest-star the Atom - break into Brainiac's ship, locate the bottled Midway City, restore it to full size, and return it to Earth? Find out - inside!
