Description
Mike Carey's writing on X-Men and X-Men: Legacy was really great. He worked with some of my favorite artists throughout the run, and the duo of Clay Mann and Jay Leisten are no exception on this page! The Children of The Vault (top panel from left to right: Serafina, Martillo, Rana, and Cadena) have knocked Magneto, Rogue, and poor Paras (pinned in agony beneath Rana's leg in the foreground) down for the count. I like the times in X-comics when Magneto fights and loves alongside the X-Men just as much as I love his villainous turns. Thanks, Andrew at anthonyscomicart.com!

Mann and Leisten leads with Rogue's chin in the second panel as a callback to everyone's comment to her when she takes a massive punch!

A bold and dynamic Clay Mann piece, for sure!  I really like how the focus pulls inwards to the center of the page as the viewer's eye moves down it, first in that beautiful second panel, and then to that very striking third panel.  Really lovely Clay and Jay page, Doctor!  Congrats!

Thanks, Jason! Mike Carey's storytelling beats are constent throughout the X-Men: Legacy run; you can expect fun narrative moments like these on every page!
