First appearance of Phase!
Welcome to the 20th Century, Phase!
Phase originally conceived to be Phantom Girl (Tinya Wazzo) time displaced by Glorith from the 30th Century into the 20th.
In the post Zero Hour Universe, it is revealed that Tinya Wazzo had the power to triplicate herself like Triplicate Girl. Her three bodies were separated at birth and Tinya Wazzo of the Legion of Super-Heroes now code named Apparition and Phase were two of her bodies.
The fate of her third body is unknown.

Other members of L.E.G.I.O.N. on this cover are Lobo, Lyrissa Mallor, Garryn Bek, Strata and Stealth

Now this is one of my favorite covers! And oh man, Phase's story is such a mess, but I genuinely did like the ultime solution they came up with for her.

Great cover! For some reason I've always had a soft spot for Phase, posdibly because she often seemed the nicest character in LEGION to me.

Only two years into his career and Maguire had already been firing on all cylinders for, well, two years! Such a great stylist and the absolute best and getting the most out of facial expressions!
