Storm Boy by Gene Gonzales & Simon Gough

Myke Chypurz originally tried out for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes, but was rejected because he had used a hidden artificial device which enabled him to create storms, and did not actually have any superpowers. Rejected and embittered, Myke had an extensive series of surgeries implanting machines in his body to give him control over the weather. Myke lost his grip on sanity, and joined Earth-Man's evil Justice League of Earth. I commissioned Gene Gonzales to draw Storm Boy and he did a fantastic job. I love the tattered cape, the lightning, and Myke's crazy face. Simon Gough then worked his magic on the piece, adding a very cool color transition to the background as Myke generates a storm. A big thanks, as usual, to Gene and Simon!
