Description

Inspired by the iconic sword fight scene in The Princess Bride, Samnee creates a new moment of Inigo and the Dread Pirate Roberts sparring. I love the attention to detail on little things like the background, the sword hilts, and the mutual looks of admiration of fighting someone with genuine skill.

Bigger than his normal 9" x12", so is this a double commission? The figurework for both works together in such a great balance in the form and in black and white. Elwes and Patinkin in the Samnee manner have just enough gesture suggested by his line to be believable without needing to be photo accurate.

This is his standard 9x12" in landscape orientation. Samnee is just able to pack in that much into a scene that it appears larger I guess, haha.
