Technically my purchase of 2022 was an unexpected treat. I already got my first Frank Miller piece last year – a great page from Sin City. It was a "consolation prize" for not winning a Miller Daredevil page I had my eyes on. Featuring Ben Urich and DD in the Daily Bugle newsroom, it was about as good of a page as I could want for an early Miller example. Well, except for the price. And the lack of a certain Editor in Chief.

Fast-forward to December and what should show up in the Heritage weekly auction, but these two tip-in panels from an ASM annual. The issue features several panels of "newspaper photos" – all done on duo-shade board. And this one happens to feature the one and only JJJ. Oh, and some other minor Spidey-baddie.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have the early Miller box on my want list checked off. Now I just need to figure out how to frame this thing.

These are great Mike. And really have 3 complete fully rendered illustrations of these characters, which may be better than a lot of panel pages. Congrats!

Really, really happy to have picked this up, but would absolutely love to find one of the JJJ panel pages from this issue.

Nice pick up, Mike! I was thinking about getting this piece soley for the J Jonah Jameson panel. Oh, that hideous smile!
