It has the 70's horror magazine Ploog look with the perspective, wash inks, and different levels of lighting that reaches back for that Universal Monsters atmosphere.

Superb POV and amazing washes and shading here, Rick! I need to find out more about Jeff's work, as this is really, REALLY impressive. Fantastic detail on Swamp Thing (AND the wolves) and that night sky (and the beautiful placement of the moon) makes me swoon. Awesome piece, Rick! Great commission - Congrats!

Stunning Swamp Thing vs Warewolves piece by Jeff Slemons! I love the composition here, especially with the closeup on the head of the werewolf on the left--It really puts the viewed right into the action!. Beautiful ink washes as well Slemons really put a lot of energy into this painting. Great score!

Love how dark this piece is in terms of subject matter and actual amount of dark on the board! The camera being right behind the werewolf on the left...just awesome stuff. Congrats!
