It's in great shape and time has been kind with the colors. So well preserved for us to still marvel at and enjoy.
Wow, absolutely fantastic that you own the classic Ray Johnson paperback cover version AND this pulp version from over three decades earlier! It's gorgeous and in great shape. Also amazing that the payment check Monahan received for painting this piece also exists along with the art. For an illustrator to be paid $135 for a pulp painting back in 1920 was a ton of money! There were still some illustrators only making that much doing paperback covers during the 1950's. Kudos to you both!
